20 Best Style & Gear Releases in March 2025
Wythe SS25, Mokka To Go, Kane x BPN—these are my awards for every new release and product discovery this month.
LIVE A LITTLE is a style and lifestyle journal for the adventurous man—written from the pen of a full-time menswear copywriter.
For those who might be new here, I do a monthly edit of all the best style and gear releases across the internet. (You can check out February’s edition here.)
This month, you’ll find everything from mini moka coffee gadgets and limited edition recovery shoes, to jackets with big Ken Kesey energy and Augusta tees right on time for The Masters. Give it a read. Let me know your favorites and if I missed anything.
Last, but not least, thank you for being a part of LIVE A LITTLE. I’ve got more exciting content + announcements planned for April 🤘
Best New Jacket Release: Wythe DayTripper Jacket

Wythe just dropped it’s SS25 collection. I enjoy the nostalgic energy of the lookbook. Even the campaign name is cool—”Going up the Country”.
This DayTripper Jacket stands out to me the most from the lookbook. It’s made from a cotton/linen twill, and designed in homage to the modified military clothes the counterculture movement wore during the Vietnam War era. Awesome patches on the shoulders too.
Priced at $388
Best New Outdoor Release: Big Rock Candy Mountaineering Spring/Summer ‘25
I love Big Rock Candy’s new SS25. The collection includes 70s-inspired tees and hats, but also backpacks, totes, boots, and more.

Another cool note is that my friend Cam is the model for the campaign. He runs the best menswear store in my hometown of Kansas City, Guevel.
Most Anticipated Release: YETI Ranchero Bag

I’ve talked about the new Ranchero backpack a few times over the month already. I actually went to the YETI store on South Congress to check out their SXSW Music Showcase and to see the new bags.
I watched a band play called “The Droptines.” After their set, I walked over to the bag wall to check out the Ranchero. It’s even cooler in person.
Available in 22L & 27L. Priced at $225 & $275
Best New Coffee Gadget: Mokka To Go

Check out this coffee gadget called “Mokka To Go”. It’s a mini coffee maker inspired by the OG moka coffee pot.
The founder, an avid cyclist and bikepacker, thought of the Mokka To Go when he brought his moka pot on a trip through the French Jura (because it just made coffee so well). MSRP planned for $149 and ship in September. But you can get it on Kickstarter now for $119.
Most Creative Brand Discovery: Westech USA Shoes

I recently got served an awesome advertisement for Westech, an EVA-made recovery shoe that’s cut to look like a cowboy boot. The idea of owning these sounds fun, but it’s the marketing that I especially love.
Country jingles, cool Western fonts and graphics, and celebrity co-signs—they just did a collab with Sierra Ferrell.
Called “The Westech Outrider”, these bad boys start at $79 a pair.
Best New Shades Under $100: Sunski Tango

You really can’t go wrong with Sunski shades. Most pairs are under $100, and you find them in a wide array of styles.
This new model, called the Tango, just released in Sunski’s new summer lineup. The pair is lightweight, polarized, and comes with a lifetime warranty.
Priced at $78
Best New Watch Brand Discovery: Weiss Watches

I appreciate how the watch brand Weiss experiments with its dial colors. They recently dropped a Field Watch in a limited edition Agave Dial that caught my attention.
Also pictured is a Field Watch in “Tennessee Tangerine”, followed by a heavy-hitter Dive Watch with a yellow dial.
The cool thing about Weiss Watches is they design and assemble its timepieces in their Nashville studio. Their mission is to preserve and restore American watch making, and I think that’s pretty cool.
Pricing varies.
Best New Performance Shirt: Wellen Airweave Performance Shirt

Wellen is a house brand here at Huckberry that doesn’t some really great under-the-radar activewear. The Airweave fabric the designers used for this short sleeve buttondown is insanely breathable and lightweight, making it a repeat choice for the incoming Texas summer days.
This shirt just got a full restock + new colors and prints. There’s one more print I’ve seen hanging back, but it should be on the site soon. My favorite is the Agave Green.
Priced at $88
Best New Shorts: Topo Design Dirt Shorts

Topo’s Dirt Short perfectly hits between outdoors and everyday. They’re made from organic cotton, garment dyed for softness, and cut in an inseam that hits just above the knee.
I got a pair of the dark brown (Desert Palm) and have found myself wearing them a ton biking around East Austin. I’ve even worn them to the driving range a few times.
These are one of those shorts that have the right amount of durability, but are still casual and comfortable enough to wear with regular outfits. The drawstring waist is a great touch too.
Priced at $79
Best New Recovery Footwear: Kane x BPN Revive
Kane recovery shoes are awesome. They’re super cushioned, easy to pack, and super washable.
They just did a collab on a limited edition pair of its Revive shoe with Bare Performance Nutrition (BPN), which is another one of my favorite brands at the moment. My favorite detail is the “Go One More” on the side.
Priced at $85
Best New Apparel Brand Discovery: McTavish Surf

Some great new arrivals from Australian brand McTavish. They started as two best friends making surfboards. Now, years later, they continue to expand in their clothing offerings.
Think: hemp tees, washed denim, reversible quilted jackets, thick cotton hoodies.
Prices are respectable too 👌
Most Timely Release: Dixie Reserve Co. ‘Augusta’ Collection

It’s the perfect time to snag one of these “Augusta” from Dixie Reserve Co. before The Masters. I recently discovered this brand through an IG ad.
I love how they use a water-based ink that gives the print a vintage look. The crewneck is made from midweight 80/20 cotton/poly fleece. The tee is made from 100% combed ringspun cotton.
Priced at $88 and $42.
Best New Running Shoe: norda 005

The new norda 005 is less trail-heavy, and more race day ready. Check out these specs:
Lighter weight (7.5 oz vs 8.7 oz on 002)
More breathable and thinner upper
Lugs not as deep (4.0mm vs 5.0mm on 002)
Cool design. Priced at $325
Best New Gadget Discovery: UAG Magnetic Ring Stand
Urban Armor Gear has always made solid phone cases, but I’ve really enjoyed seeing them level-up in their accessories. They make great iPhone charger cables, Apple Watch bands, and phone stands.
The phone stand (pictured above) is the Magnetic Ring Stand. It’s not technically new, but UAG keeps releasing new colors in it. I’ve been using the Magnetic Ring Stand for about 8 months now. It’s incredibly strong, but at the hinges and also on the magnetic piece. Super useful when I’m at work and want my phone propped up on my desk.
Priced at $35
Best New Hoodie: i+w The “Relax” Wakefield Hoodie
I wrote about this imogene + willie hoodie in FIELD JOURNAL 25. Here’s what I wrote about it:
“‘Relax’ means staying present. Not holding any one thing in life too hard—money, career, relationships—but rather loosely. Gently.”
Priced at $235
Best Swim Release: Outerknown APEX Evolution Trunk
Outerknown just dropped the second iteration of its APEX Evolution Trunk, further refining one of the best performance surf trunks on the market. Why are they one of the best? Well, they’re designed exactly to Kelly Slater’s liking.
For starters, they’re still made almost entirely from recycled fishing nets (90% NetPlus® material, 10% elastane). The new short makes big improvements to comfort and mobility—Slater notes they have better length, better fit in the leg, and more secure lacing.
I have the original version of the APEX short in all black. They’re light as a feather and have a sleek silhouette. (I once took them on a trip to the Bahamas and got a handful of compliments during the trip.) The inseam is just over eight inches too—a length that hits just above the knees.
Priced at $168.
Best New Boot Release: Sabah Alto Boot

Sabah’s new Alto Boot is the brand’s foray into the boot space. They’re a bit expensive for me to buy without trying on. I will probably check them out at Sabah’s South Congress store here in Austin.
Overall, the details look like they nailed it: handmade in Italy, leather midsole and suede upper, and a resolable leather outsole.
Priced at $395.
Best New Home Tech: Balmuda MoonKettle
Beautiful design on the new Balmuda MoonKettle. I’ve got the Balmuda Kettle ($159), and I use it for coffee and the occasional cup of tea.
The MoonKettle has similar features as the Kettle, but it has a slightly higher capacity (0.9L vs. 0.6L). I can see MoonKettle being a solid gifting pick for tea drinkers, but also for coffee lovers (Wired’s review has an image of it being used for pour overs).
Priced at $259.
Best New Bags Under $200: Filson Scout Bags
For the guy looking for a solid water-resistant bag, Filson’s new Scout Bags should be on your radar. They come in three styles, each made with 300-denier ripstop polyester with a water-resistant coating and a 600-denier polyester reinforced bottom.
Scout Tote Bag - $150
Scout 50L Duffel - $175
Scout Backpack - $175
These bags have plenty of utility + cool rugged styling (all at reasonable prices). You can even get a few fun colors, like Slate Blue and Schrub Camo.
Best New ReBrand: Ebbets Field Flannels

As a baseball fan, Ebbets has been on my radar for nearly a decade. I’m happy to see their new ownership group put in the time and effort to help give the brand a refresh.
Ebbets still has its baseball roots, but in the lookbook you can see them branching into more styling that can go with everyday wear, as opposed to doing just baseball jerseys.

Thanks for including Weiss!
I haven’t seen the new YETI bag in person yet and I’m super curious to know who’s buying it. Is it the YETI loyalist or the Mystery Ranch convert? Probably a mix of both…
Also a big fan of Dixie Reserve. Became aware of them a few years back through the same way, IG ad for the Masters tee. Great branding. Always in my list for aesthetic inspiration.
