I'm looking to get into shooting some on film. Do you like the Pentax as a solid, overall camera? Or, would you recommend another film camera for the dilettante?
I’m sure you could find a film camera much cheaper than that Pentax. But that Pentax 17 is the brand new one that Wirecutter’s photo editor recently reviewed and gave solid praise.
To me, there’s something to be said for a new camera you get from the factory. Used you can find a deal, but I have better trust in the new model having less chance of problems.
