Billy Strings x imogene + willie hangout, 16 Japanese outdoor brands to know, why you should run in the winter, and more...
This weekend I stopped at a Billy Strings pre-concert party at imogene + willie here in Austin, and it was one of the coolest pop-ups I’ve seen in recent memory.
Billy was in town for a 2-show run for Friday and Saturday night. On Saturday morning, his merch team partnered with imogene for a backyard party. There was a large tent where Billy’s team sold past tour posters, a screen print station where Imogene printed their own free event poster, a station for coffee, food, and brews, and a live band (featuring a fiddle player) to set the mood.
The whole experience reminded me of a hometown hangout: raw, unfiltered, good music and good people.
The OUTFIT below is a Billy-inspired getup. It’s the same energy as the pre-concert morning hang—just carried over to the late-night show. I call it an OUTFIT fit for an old soul.
